Rural Electrification Corp (REC) is planning to raise funds from Germany's KfW to provide funding for renewable energy projects. The company is in talks with Germany's KfW. Earlier, the company had received about euros 100 million loan from KfW. The company recently revised its guidelines for providing loans to large renewable energy projects.
Rural Electrification Corporation is engaged in providing financial assistance to state electricity boards, state government departments and rural electric co-operatives for rural electrification projects as are sponsored by them.
