Baring India buys 1.2% stake in Vardhman Textiles

Baring India has bought an additional stake of 1.2% in Vardhman Textiles for a total consideration of Rs 25 crore via open market. The private equity fund has purchased 762,964 shares of total equity of Vardhman Textiles at Rs 327.92 per share.

As on December 31, 2013, the private equity fund held 1.95% stake in Vardhman Textiles.

Vardhman Textiles, incorporated in 1973, is one of the pioneers in textile industry with operations in the segments of yarn, sewing thread, steel, and fabric.
