Funskool India, a joint venture between Indian tyre giant MRF and Hasbro, Inc has inaugurated its first toy store in India. The company has set up its new store at Coimbatore which spread over in 1500 sq.ft.
Moreover, the company is planning to start another 20 stores, focusing tier-II towns. The company has identified Indore, Bhopal, Baroda, Surat, Kochi and others as potential destinations for future expansion.
Funskool’s commercial operations began with setting up of a factory at Goa to manufacture high quality toys and as the demand increased both in domestic and global markets, the company had set up its factory at Ranipet, about 100 kms from Chennai.
MRF (Madras Rubber Factory) is India’s No 1 tyre manufacturing company. Currently, the company exports tyres to over 65 countries including America, Europe, Middle East, Japan, and the Pacific region.
