In a bid to meet the supply of its certain requirements, BEML is planning to expand vendor base in Mysore. At present, the company is sourcing from units in Bangalore or Coimbatore.
Presently, BEML’s supply comes from about 20-25 industries. However, there are more opportunities for setting up units here to meet BEML’s requirements like huge fabrication, electrical and electrical equipments.
BEML (formerly Bharat Earth Movers) was established for undertaking manufacture of Rail Coaches & Spare Parts and Mining Equipment at its Bangalore Complex. It has been catering to the needs of core sectors such as mining, power and steel.
