Bosch commissions 5MW solar power plant in Tamil Nadu

Bosch has commissioned a 5 megawatt (MW) solar power plant in Tamil Nadu for its customer Sri Vinayaga Green Power Generation. The solar power plant has been provided with mono-crystalline silicon solar panels and high-efficiency central inverters. Various components such as solar panels, inverters, structures and other equipment have been sourced from approved partners of company.

The company is also in the process of commissioning two projects of one megawatt each in Andhra Pradesh and Haryana. Over the past two years the company has also developed several rooftop installations ranging from 25 kWp to 200 kWp capacity across India.

Bosch is a major player in the diesel segment and 60% of its sales come from diesel segment. It is also among the larger suppliers of common rail direct injection (CRDI) systems in India. The company buys half of the components required for the CRDI systems (by value) locally.
