Karnataka based PSU bank Syndicate Bank has opened an all women’s branch at Ajmer Makhupura in Jaipur. Recently, the bank has opened 24 branches in Andhra Pradesh. These branches are spread across the districts of Anantapur (3), Chittoor (4), East Godavari (2), Guntur & Kurnool (1), Prakasam, Rangareddy, Hyderabad (3), Secunderabad & Visakhapatnam (2).
Meanwhile, Karnataka Vikas Grameen Bank (KVGB), a Dharwad-based regional rural bank (RRB) sponsored by Syndicate Bank, has launched Rupay debit cards for its customers. These debit cards can be accessed free at the ATM centres of KVGB and Syndicate Bank.
Syndicate Bank has reported 25.32% fall in its net profit at Rs 379.76 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 508.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, Total income of the bank has increased by 11.61% at Rs 5011.28 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 4489.90 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2012.
