Power Grid to invest Rs 155.57 crore for augmentation of transformers in Northern Region

Power Grid Corporation of India (PGCIL) has received an investment approval for augmentation of transformers in Northern Region - Part B at an estimated cost of Rs 155.57 crore, with commissioning schedule of 24 months from the date of investment approval. The board of directors at its meeting held on March 27, 2014 has approved for the same.

Power Grid Corporation of India is engaged in bulk power transmission and its responsibility include planning, coordination, supervision and control over inter-State transmission system and operation of National and Regional Power Grids.
