Bank of Rajasthan was established in 1943 at Udaipur (Rajasthan) by Mansingka brothers of Bhilwara for establishing a joint stock bank.
The bank was established with a seed capital of Rs.10.00 lacs. The bank got its name since it was located in Rajasthan. The logo of the bank consists of the historic Victory Tower of Chittorgarh, (Rajasthan) the rising sun and sand-dunes in a circular shape of coin.

Bank of Rajasthan has a total 463 branches, 29 Offsite ATMs and 67 Onsite ATMs across the country.
1948- The Bank was included in the second schedule by the Reserve Bank of India.
1955-The bank was given license under Section 22 of Banking Regulation Act, 1949 by the Reserve Bank Of India (RBI).
1960- It was one of pioneers to introduce mobile branches in Jaipur i.e. providing banking services at the door step of customers
1973- The bank received license to deal in foreign exchange from the RBI.
The bank was among the first banks in the private sector to have been assigned Lead Bank responsibility which it shared with an associate of State Bank of Bikaner and Jaipur in Udaipur District.
1983- It was one of the earliest banks to establish Mewar Anchlik Gramin Bank in Udaipur District in Rajasthan.
1993- The bank received authority to deal as class-I merchant Banker. Bank also started currency chest.
1997- The bank received ISO-9002:94 certification for its C-scheme, Jaipur branch.
1998- The Bank started its first ATM services in the series of Quality services to its customers at C-Scheme Jaipur branch.

NRI Banking- Besides various personal banking products it also offers remittance services, consultancy services to its NRI Clients.
Corporates- To corporates it offers various products and services such as corporate accounts, term finance, working capital loans, RTGS, NEFT, CMS,
Priority and SME- It also caters its products and services to Priority and SME segment such as providing various kinds of products to meet their various business requirements.
Bank of Rajasthan has entered into a strategic partnership with the insurance wing of ICICI Bank -- ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Co.â€”for facilitating the payment of premium and expanding the insurance business in rural areas through bankâ€™s branches.
