About Jolly Board Ltd

Nearly forty-five years ago, Anil Hardboards Ltd. was founded in a sleepy satellite village called Kanjur on the outskirts of bustling Mumbai. It was a pioneering organisation, the first to manufacture fibreboards in India. Inaugurated in 1958, by the late Prime Minister of India, Lal Bahadur Shastri, this plant, the brainchild of our Founder G R Jolly, still has the distinction of being the most modern and fully automated plant in Asia. In 1985, to identify with their widely popular, product brand names, the company changed its name from Anil Hardboards Ltd. to Jolly Board Ltd.

Jolly Board manufactures softboard and bitumen impregnated softboard at two manufacturing sites based in Western India at Aurangabad and Sangli. The company has four mills for the production of Softboard, Bitumen Impregnated Softboard and mineral wool board. These four units produce 100,000 cubic meters of Soft Board annually.

The company is committted to customer satisfaction and product development. The boards manufactured by Jolly Board are comparable to the best in the world. An extensive dealer network is the company's forte, and is in no small measure responsible for our expanding sales.

Jolly Board's manufacturing plants use either bagasse, bagasse pith, or natural gas fired boilers. This ensures that their chimneys do not release any toxic emissions. The company’s high quality products are processed mostly from agro waste thus, conserving valuable natural resources. These agro waste products have been declared environment friendly by the Government of India and enjoy full excise exemptions.

The company's contribution to Mumbai, the concrete jungle, is a beautiful stretch of nearly 100 trees along the promenade at Haji Ali and another at the G  R Jolly Marg at Kanjur Marg.

The company produces a wide range of hardboards and softboards that strive to meet India's industrial and domestic requirements. The company exports 50% of it's softboard production.

The comprehensive product range manufactured includes hardboards and softboards in various thickness and multiple surface textures. Value added products manufactured include, perforate boards, prepainted boards, clipboards, blackboards, pin-boards, etc. The company also offers exclusive products like non-combustible and acoustical ceiling tiles and a false ceiling suspension framework for complete ceiling installation.

Jolly Board products are used by quality conscious builders, architects and direct consumers. The boards are used everywhere...in homes and offices, in stores and schools, in automobiles and trains, for packaging and interlining etc.

Jolly Board's manufacturing plants use either bagasse, bagasse pith, or natural gas fired boilers. This ensures that its chimneys do not release any toxic emissions.
