About CDR Health Care Ltd

CDR Health Care Limited was incorporated on November 20, 1986 as a Public Limited Company in the State of Andhra Pradesh. The company has been promoted by C. Dayakar Reddy, his wife C Jayasree and their associates. The main objects of the company are embodied in the Memorandum and Articles of Association and inter alia include setting up of hospitals and carry on the business of designs, construction and running of all kind of hospitals dispensaries, clinics, laboratories, health clubs and health Insurance Scheme.

Milestones

1986

  • The company was incorporated on November 20, as a Public Limited Company
  • The company has to set up a 150 bed multispecialty hospital under the name of CDR Hospitals at a prime location in Hyderabad.

1987

  • The company started a LITHOTRIPSY CENTRE at New Delhi to treat kidney stones without surgery and anesthesia.
  • The company has many computerized and advanced equipments like colour Doppler, computerized stress Test, Video Endoscope, computerized Analyzers Extra corporeal Lithotripter etc. The majority of the medical facilities are functional.

1991

  • During the last quarter of the year, the Hospital has become fully operational and opened up all major departments such as Nephrology, Urology, Cardiology, Cardiothoracic Surgery, Neuro Surgery, Pediatrics, IVF etc.
  • The hospital had the privilege of offering services of 1.0 Tesler Super Conductive Magnetic Resonance Imaging system for the first time in the State.
  • The hospital has provided consultancy services for setting up of Diagnostic centres and hospitals at Vizag and Delhi. It has also successfully started kidney transplants programme. It is also entering into manufacturing and marketing of medial equipments, Imaging products and other related items.
  • Owing to General Elections, Communal and other disturbances and Bandh call given by various political and non-political organizations, the operations of the company were adversely effected.

1992

  • The company started a dedicated children’s hospital under the name and style of 'CDR Hospitals for Children' which caters from the just born to children aged 12 years. This is the first integrated, dedicated, all under one roof facility hospital for the children in the state.

1993

  • The paid-up share capital includes Rs.9,75,000 (97,500 shares of Rs 10 each) and Rs 9,50,000 (95,000 shares of Rs 10 each) allotted to SIDDARTHA CONSULTANCY SERVICES PVT LTD and SIDDARTHA MEDICARE PVT LTD respectively which were issued as fully paid up in consideration of the cost of the land acquired from them. The company also allotted 91,200 equity shares of Rs 10 each to RCTC according to the terms and conditions specified in the loan agreement.

1995

  • During the year the Hospital has concentrated in critical care services and has increased the bed strength from 195 to 247, mostly in critical care areas.
  • The company has also upgraded the existing Nursing Home at Gagan Mahal into a specialty Hospital for Women and the necessary equipment has been ordered.

1998

  • The Hospital has been recommended for ISO 9002 by TUV, Germany through Secunderabad Centre is the first ISO 9002 Hospital in the State.

1999

  • The company launched various corporate Health Plans in the current year to achieve higher turnover. The company has also started Janani - IVF Test Tube Baby and made significant progress in this behalf during the current year.
  • During the year IDBI and IFCI have withdrawn Jayant Mulay and Sagi Rama Krishna from the Board of the Company. Vijay Maheshwari resigned from the Board during the year under reference.

2000

  • The CDR Hospitals has become the first multi-specialty corporate hospital in Andhra Pradesh to get accreditation from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories for its clinical laboratories.

2001

  • Hyderabad-based healthcare services provider, CDR Hospitals group developed a PC-based Web-enabled diagnostic equipment to facilitate speedy diagnosis of ailment even from a remote villages.
  • CDR Hospitals has developed a new telemedicine model for emergency care called eEmCare, to render cost-effective and better medical services to people in remote areas on real-time basis.
