About Pentamedia Graphics Ltd
Pentamedia Graphics, formerly known as Pentafour Software and Exports (PSEL) was incorporated in May 1976. The company was established to manufacture and trade consumer durables and electronic items such as air conditioners, UPS, water heaters, stabilizers, etc and to render consultancy services in project finance and administration.
PSEL has been supplying these products to reputed companies including Spencer & Co. to be marketed under their brand name.
In December 1999, Pentamedia started new project -The New Millennium TV, www.numtv.com which is the first internet live broadcasting TV. This project has registered base of 2,00,000 viewers across Asia, Europe and US.
Num TV's include Jaya and Raj live sourcing of various language contents for webcasting to the expatriates living in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and USA. It also includes Raj digital, Raj music, Vissa telugu channel, Jeevan malayalam channel, news channel IBN Live, Aajtak, Headlines, Num channels NumTamil, NumTelugu, Num Movies, spiritual channel Sadhana, Jesus calls etc.
During 1999-2000, the company hived off its business software segment; including overseas operation as well as products on and off shore projects, transfer of human resources associated with software and brand value.
In order to reflect its business after restructuring, the company decided to change the name from Pentafour software to Pentamedia Graphic with the approval on 24.01.2000.
Business area of the company:
Pentamedia has expertise in films/ broadcasting, video, CD/DVD and internet entertainment with having all kinds of screen big screen, small screen (home video and TV) and personal screen (personal computer). The company has entire production facility, business operation and creation of multimedia with special effect has only in one roof at the Software Park in Kelambakkam - Chennai. It also operates international marketing offices in Hollywood, Cerritos, Singapore, Manila, Tokyo and London.
In the year 2000-01, company received the SEI-CMM level 4 certification. Further, it acquired Media Dreams to increase its presence in media; Mayajaal in the themed space and Kris.Srikkanth Sports & Entertainment (KSSEL) in the sports space and also acquired Improvision Corporation, California, USA, a movie production company , in an all stock-deal.
Company’s production facility of computer animation and graphics is headquartered in India and works in conjunction with its production houses in Manila and Singapore.
The creative hub for all these production activities is Pentamedia's digital imaging center in Kelambakkam, India, a 22-acre sprawling development center, with SGI workstations, Challenge XL server, Onyx RE/IR, Film Scanner and Recorder, Macs, PCs and software ranging from Maya, Softimage, 3D Max, Cineon, Flint / Flame to Animo, Tic Tac Toon, among others.
Company past projects include animation movies like Sinbad - Beyond the Veil of Mists, Pandavas - The Five Warriors, Alibaba, Buddha, Son of Alladin, Gulliver's Travels and Sinbad Sequel.
Its future projects are Tarzan and the Aliens - A fantasy of Tarzan to animation and Hanji -The story of the legendry god Hanuman.
