Edserv SoftSystems Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company on March 13, 2001 under the Companies Act, 1956 as Lambent Systems Private Limited vide Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, Chennai. The name of the company was changed to Lambent Softsystems Private Limited with effect from December 5, 2001 and a fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained from Registrar of Companies, Chennai. Subsequently the name was changed to Edserv Softsystems

Edserv SoftSystems Ltd was incorporated as a private limited company on March 13, 2001 under the Companies Act, 1956 as Lambent Systems Private Limited vide Certificate of Incorporation issued by the Registrar of Companies, Chennai. The name of the company was changed to Lambent Softsystems Private Limited with effect from December 5, 2001 and a fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained from Registrar of Companies, Chennai. Subsequently the name was changed to Edserv Softsystems Private Limited and a fresh certificate of incorporation consequent to change of name was obtained on January 9, 2008. The name was further changed to Edserv Softsystems Limited upon conversion into public limited company and a fresh certificate of incorporation was obtained on April 22, 2008.

EdServ is promoted by S Giridharan, as senior technocrat of Indian IT space who is a pioneer in job-oriented education of the 90s. He has over two decades of experience in education having been instrumental in the success of SSI and Radiant education brands. Giridharan later led ELMAQ education brand and subsequently sold to Lambent and merged the business to head the EdServ model now.

EdServ is India's first 4th generation education company that uses technology to efficiently synchronize manpower demand and supply in number and skills right from development to deployment. The size of India's addressable market, favorable demography, growing acceptance of technology-aided learning, and EdServ’s innovative to-be-patented Humanware Education And Deployment System (HEADS) coupled with its trademark content should enable rapid growth. Its business model is scalable nationally and internationally.

EdServ Softsystems was established with an objective of providing niche training solutions, customised software solutions, and placement consulting on contract as well as permanent basis to both Corporate and Institutional clients. The company successfully provided staffing solutions to premier clients during 2002 to 2004 viz., TI Group, TVS Group, Office Tiger, KSB Pumps, Infosys Technologies, HCL Technologies, Shasun Chemicals, Hexaware Technologies, Ashok Leyland, Seshasayee Paper & Boards among others.

EdServ has over 1,000 man years of experience in niche and cutting-edge technology training and has designed and implementationed training products in IT as well as non-IT having served various corporate and institutions requirements in soft skills, IT skills, among others.

Lambent, since its inception in 2001, has been very active in staffing solutions and customised resource solutions. Lambent offers in both contractual as well as permanent basis, the manpower on-board to its value based clients.

EdServ has over 50 people working on various domains and training technologies like J2EE, .NET, Software Testing, Multimedia, Networking, among others. EdServ has over 35 centers spread all over south offering Tech Training in the brand of ELMAQ.

Lambent (EdServ) provides ERP solutions as well as Database maintenance services in a 24x7 zero-downtime based enterprise-wide continuous availability framework in both onsite and off-site models. Lambent (EdServ) also provides Staffing solutions and customized resource solutions apart from niche training post-implementation of systems.
