About Uniport Computers Ltd

Uniport Computers Ltd. was incorporated on February 12, 1991, as Public Limited Company at Madras in the State of Tamil Nadu. The Company obtained certificate for commencement of business on November 26, 1991 from the Registrar of Companies, Tamil Nadu. The Company is promoted by LAN ESEDA SOFTWARE SYSTEMS LIMITED and their Associates.

The company was established with an immediate object to set up a 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) within Madras Export Processing Zone (MEPZ) to manufacture computer integrated systems, computer monitors and populated PCB's for exporting to U.S.A.,U.K. and other European Countries. The Company is presently engaged in the development of Computer Software for domestic as well as export markets.

The Company signed a memorandum of understanding with MACRO-PORT INC, a Computer Manufacturing and Marketing Company based at Silicon Valley, U.S.A. for its entire production from the very first year.

In 2004 the company got the approval of delisting of its equity shares from Calcutta Stock Exchange
