About Parekh Aluminex Ltd

Parekh Aluminex, established in 1994 is the largest manufacturer and exporter of aluminium foil containers (AFC), and also one of the biggest manufacturers in aluminium foil rolls (AFRs) and aluminium lids, in India. The company is also the single largest player in the organised sector in India. They  lead the market in the AFR segment with their ME brand of aluminium rolls and are also manufacturing the same on a job-work basis for Hindalco, the largest manufacturer of aluminium in the country, which markets it under the Fresh Wrap brand. Their strategic three-year tie-up with Hindalco gives them the advantage of outsourcing raw materials at preferential costs, thus boosting profits and ensuring growth.

It is the only company from India to break into the highly quality conscious European markets, it continues to break through to newer markets and higher growth standards. Ensuring zero human touch to the end-product in the entire manufacturing process is a sign of their commitment to maintaining strict quality standards and conformation to strict food and drugs-related hygienic requirements.

With their two manufacturing facilities situated strategically close together in the tax haven of the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, India, they have not just managed to maximise profits for their investors, but also have a distinctive edge over competition in India and worldwide markets.Their strategic and well-thought out business plan has resulted in the signing of a marketing agreement with one of the largest manufacturers of aluminium in the world, to market its products in Germany. Further, Parekh Aluminex  has acquired a Singapore based company by taking over its plant & machinery for making Aluminium Foil Containers, along with its customer base. As a result business of South East Asian Airlines such as Emirates Airlines, Singapore Airlines, Thai Airways amongst others have been added to the company’s kitty.

The visionary approach of Parekh Aluminex has seen it increasing the manufacturing capacity of AFC’s (casseroles / trays & containers / dishes) from 457 million to 1175 million pieces, AFR’s from 7.5 million to 15 million pieces and Aluminium Lids from 185 million to 470 million pieces, per annum. The additional manufacturing capacity will boost volume growth and help maintain their leadership position in the market.

Milestones:

  • 2000- It made our initial foray in the international market in the year 2000, by bagging the first export order.
  • 2002 -It set up its second manufacturing unit at Dadra in the year 2002. Its quality initiatives also got a boost as it became the first company in the sector to receive ISO 9001:2000 certification from BVQI of UK.
  • 2005- Within a year of being listed on the BSE (Bombay Stock Exchange), it made 3 notable achievements in the year 2005. It got the ‘STAR’ Export House, received the ‘EXPO GOLD CARD’ from our lead bankers – Indian Overseas Bank and M/s Dun & Bradstreet accredited the company with ‘4S1-GOOD’ status.
  • 2006- Its commitment to quality and futuristic vision continued to win recognition and in 2006, Crisil Limited accredited us with ‘SME-1’, its highest rating. It got listed on the National Stock Exchange [NSE] in the same year.
  • 2007 - With a firm eye on tapping newer international markets, it completed a mega expansion, trebling the production capacity in 2007. Its quality initiatives received further impetus by receiving ISO 22000:2005 and HACCAP certification. It has also initiated fund raising through an issue of GDR.
