Emtex Industries (India) Ltd. was incorporated in 1982. The name Emtex Industries (India) Ltd. was adopted in 1992. The promoters of Emtex Shivprakash Makharia and Pradeep Makharia hail from a business family and have over 50 years of combined experience in textile trade and manufacturing.

The company is a well established textile manufacturer and exporter with over two decades of standing and reputation as quality producer of all types of textiles, such as 100% cotton fabrics, synthetics, blended fabrics etc. Emtex, a listed company, it was setup by a family traditionally engaged in textile business for over fifty years and is listed on Bombay and National Stock Exchange.

Emtex exports quality fabrics to several countries in Africa, and the UK, Switzerland, Austria, Germany and especially to Gulf countries, The Emirates, KSA, Korea , Japan and Sudan for over a decade. Many exporters, garment manufacturers and local dealers secure high quality fabrics from Emtex, a well known name in these parts of the world.

Apart from the fabric processing unit, the company has a chemical division operating in a different block in the same premises manufacturing technical grade Salicylic Acid (TSA) and its derivatives such as sodium salicylate, methyl salicylate and benzyl salicylate. These intermediates are used in the production of Aspirin, pain balms, ointments, dental pastes and powders. The installed capacity of this division is 713 Tons per annum. These products are supplied to leading companies and MNCs.
