Silktex Ltd. was incorporated on August 30, 1993 as Silktex Private Limited and was converted into a public limited company by passing a Special Resolution under Section 44 of the Companies Act, 1956 on July 11, 1994 and adopted a new set of Articles with effect from  July 12, 1994 and the name of the company was changed to Silktex Limited.

Silktex is an Indian silk manufacturing company that caters to the growing need for high-quality, premium silk fabric across the world. Their composite mill is located 30 km from Bangalore. High quality silk weaving demands precision in every process from the basic yarn to its preparation leading to the final fabric. Everything needs to conform to exacting standards.
