Punj Lloyd surges on bagging contract worth Rs 3,254 crore

Punj Lloyd is currently trading at Rs. 35.75, up by 1.05 points or 3.03% from its previous closing of Rs. 34.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 35.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 35.75 and Rs. 35.00 respectively. So far 2,00,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 57.80 on 09-May-2013 and a 52 week low of Rs. 20.25 on 04-Sep-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 35.80 and Rs. 33.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,188.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 37.23% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.79% and 44.99% respectively.

Punj Lloyd has received contract worth around Rs 3254 crore to design and construct infrastructure facilities of Zliten City (Libya). The project involves design and construction of the storm and sewer network, water network, telecommunication and power distribution network, natural gas network, street lighting and road works including landscaping of parks and green areas.

The said project covers around 2,400 hectares, almost the entire area of Zliten. The project implementation period is four years.

Punj Lloyd provides engineering, procurement, construction (EPC) and project management services. It provides services to oil and gas, energy, infrastructure petrochemical, telecom broadband and utilities sectors, among others.
