Gemini Communications expects 30-35% revenue growth in FY’12

Upbeat about growth in the IT and telecom sector, leading system integration solutions and services provider Gemini Communications is expecting a 30-35 per cent growth in revenues this fiscal (2011-12).The company, which operates in four business lines, including system integration, telecom, enterprise application and energy and utilities, had clocked a Rs 528.57 crore revenue in FY’11.Gemini recently forayed into the 4G space by launching its PointLiTE range of Long Term Evolution (LTE) products and PointMAX 2 range of Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access (WiMAX) products.

Presently, major deployments are happening in Asia, Latin America, Europe, China and the Middle East in the 4G space. India, WiMAX subscriber base is expected to reach 19 million by 2012. To cater to this increasing demand, we will introduce new products in the 4G space. In India,

Gemini has already bagged an order for the largest mobile WiMAX network from BSNL. Gemini plans to invest around Rs 100 crore this fiscal on R&D, sales and marketing and entering new geographies. Apart from telecom, the company is upbeat on growth in the IT sector as well. System integration opportunity is close to Rs 40,000 crore, including the PC hardware market, servers, network storage, security and services. Also, infrastructure consolidation like cloud services, virtualization, storage and remote operations are likely to attract customers, cutting across industry and size. The order book position of the company stood at Rs 375 crore at the beginning of FY’12.
