Thermax declines on reporting 8% drop in Q4 net profit

Thermax is currently trading at Rs. 886.00, down by 21.85 points or 2.41% from its previous closing of Rs. 907.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 900.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 900.65 and Rs. 876.00 respectively. So far 3190 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 941.00 on 26-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 526.00 on 05-Sep-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 941.00 and Rs. 851.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 10521.50 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.98% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.40% and 14.62% respectively.

Thermax has posted a fall of 8.16% in its net profit at Rs 105.90 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 115.32 crore for the same quarter in the previous year.  Total income of the company has decreased by 5.02% at Rs 1417.64 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 1492.62 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013.

For the year ended March 31, 2014, the company has posted a fall of 27.71% in its net profit at Rs 252.97 crore as compared to Rs 349.96 crore in the previous year. Total income of the company has decreased by 8.34% at Rs 4366.46 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 4763.88 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013.
