Mediaone Global Entertainment has signed many block buster feature films for the year 2012 for distributing in Tamil Nadu. This strategic tie-up is expected to generate a top line of approximately Rs 40 - Rs 50 crore.
Earlier in January this year, Mediaone and its joint venture partner -- Avon Global Solutions -- was planning to invest Rs 110 crore for a state-of-the-art technology product -- SecureDuct -- that would help in reducing the cost of acquiring a film print and also curb piracy.
Mediaone is engaged in the entertainment and media space and has a wholly-owned subsidiary in London. It currently operates in the business of producing regional as well as international feature films, production of television serials, distribution of feature films and exhibition. At present, the company owns 75 theaters in Tamil Nadu and 25 more will be added in 2012.
