Ashok Leyland registers 7% rise in June sales

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, has reported a 7% increase in June sales at 7,452 vehicles, as against 6,970 sold in same month year ago. In June 2014, the sales of its Large Commercial Vehicle (LCV) products witnessed a fall of 15% to 1,910 units from 2,253 units sold in the same month of last year.

The sales of its overall Medium & Heavy Commercial Vehicle (M&HCV) witnessed 17% rise to 5,542 units from 4,717 units sold in the same month of last year.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
