RIL spurts on reporting 14% rise in Q1 consolidated net profit

Reliance Industries (RIL) is currently trading at Rs. 1002.35, up by 25.65 points or 2.63% from its previous closing of Rs. 976.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1000.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1007.75 and Rs. 996.95 respectively. So far 244918 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1142.50 on 16-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 765.00 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 997.50 and Rs. 959.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 324337.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 45.29% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.85% and 20.52% respectively.

Reliance Industries’ (RIL) net profit for the quarter rose by 5.55% at Rs 5649 crore as compared to Rs 5352 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013. Its total income has increased by 9.11% to Rs 98397 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 90180 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported 13.75% rise in its net profit at Rs 5957 crore for the quarter as compared to Rs 5237 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 6.73% at Rs 106614 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 99895 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2013.
