ITC advances on plan of foraying into dairy, beverages segment

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 360.35, up by 3.65 points or 1.02% from its previous closing of Rs. 356.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 360.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 364.45 and Rs. 359.00 respectively. So far 281366 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 386.75 on 16-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 285.40 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 358.70 and Rs. 349.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 285863.51 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 54.24 % while Non-Institutions held 45.50% of the stake.

ITC, a diversified conglomerate has decided to enter into the dairy and beverages segment. The company has already started its construction of a milk processing plant in Munger district of Bihar.

Recently, the company had reported 15.60% growth in Q1FY15 net profit of Rs 2186.39 crore as against Rs 1891.33 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous year

ITC, a diversified conglomerate has business interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
