31 Jul 2014 Evaluate

Textile company Raymond is reportedly planning to launch an e-commerce venture this quarter. Its personalised tailoring division, under the ‘made-to-measure’ business segment, will also be a part of the venture. Though the company’s Website has online sales, the ‘made-to-measure’ business segment will be restricted to the personal care range of group company JK Helene Curtis, deodorant brands under Park Avenue and Raymond, and the shampoo brand under Park Avenue.

Further, the company is now looking at expanding and renovating its offline stores. It is planning to add 150 new stores in the coming quarters, mainly for its exclusive Park Avenue, ColorPlus and MTM stores. Another 50-odd Raymond shops will be renovated.

Raymond is one of India’s largest branded fabric and fashion retailers. It is one of the leading, integrated producers of suiting fabric in the world, with a capacity of producing 31 million meters of wool & wool-blended fabrics.
