J&K Bank opens 6 ATMs in Kashmir

Jammu & Kashmir Bank (J&K Bank) has opened 6 more ATMs in Kashmir (North), 3 each in district Kupwara and district Baramulla. With these new ATMs, the bank has 838 ATMs in the state. Earlier, the bank had opened two Business Units at village Achan in Pulwama and Dehwathu in Anantnag.

Meanwhile, J&K Bank RSETI Rajouri concluded its 21-day Entrepreneurship Development Programme (EDP), wherein four batches of trainees were imparted basic courses in ‘Dress Designing’. The fourth batch comprised of 30 women from remote villages of district Rajouri.

Jammu & Kashmir Bank is the only state government owned bank in the country with the Government of J&K (GoJK) holding around 53% shareholding in the bank. JKB holds a monopolistic position in the state of J&K constituting majority of the credit and deposits in the state.
