Chemfab Alkalis soars on restarting one of its Plant at Puducherry

Chemfab Alkalis is currently trading at Rs. 92.00, up by 3.00 points or 3.37% from its previous closing of Rs. 89.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 90.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 92.00 and Rs. 89.05 respectively. So far 780 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 105.00 on 02-Jul-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 52.00 on 28-Aug-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 92.00 and Rs. 81.90 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 82.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 0.10% and 24.90% respectively.

Chemfab Alkalis has restarted one of its Plant located at Kalapet, Puducherry on August 19, 2014 and the second plant is expected to be commissioned after completion of the revamping work by next week.

The company had earlier shut-down its plant for about a week from August 12, 2014, on account of the revamping activities, for replacement of certain old machineries / equipments.

Chemfab Alkalis is promoted by Titanium Equipment and Anode Manufacturing Company. It is the first company in the country to manufacture Barium Sulphate from solid waste and holds a patent for manufacture of the same.
