Leading cigarette maker Godfrey Phillips is expanding business by foray into non-tobacco products, even as promoter K K Modi group mulls consolidating all different businesses into one single entity.
The company is foraying into mouth fresheners, food & beverages, tea products and confectionery. The company has announced the same during the launch of their cardamom-based mouth freshener ‘Pan Vilas Silver Dewz’. Further, the company is eyeing several innovative non-tobacco products such as candies having pan masala flavour.
Godfrey Phillips India’s core business is manufacturing cigarette. Under this division has created brands like Four Square, Red and White, Jaisalmer, Cavanders and Tipper. The company has also initiative in developing products such as Stellar, the first slim cigarette and I-gen, the first euro norm cigarette in India.
