Suprajit Engineering strengthens on plan to acquire Pricol’s Speedo Cable Business on slump sale basis

Suprajit Engineering is currently trading at Rs 129.00, up by 2.55 points or 2.02% from its previous closing of Rs 126.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 125.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 132.00 and Rs 124.50 respectively. So far 3547 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B ' stock of face value Rs 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 134.20 on 23-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 31.80 on 04-Oct-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 134.20 and Rs. 121.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1551.86 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 51.84% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.84% and 42.33% respectively.

Suprajit Engineering has executed a Business Transfer Agreement (BTA) with Pricol, Coimbatore for acquisition of their Speedo Cable Business on a slump sale basis. The business has annual sales of around Rs 10 crore with major OEM’s and after market customers.

The company is in the process of transferring the plant and machinery from Pricol and will relocate the same to one of its facilities at Bangalore.
