Canara Bank trades jubilantly despite FIIs reduce stake in September quarter

Canara Bank is currently trading at Rs. 371.35, up by 15.05 points or 4.22% from its previous closing of Rs. 356.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 360.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 371.80 and Rs. 359.00 respectively. So far 152589 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 498.00 on 09-Jun-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 209.00 on 14-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 371.80 and Rs. 344.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17066.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 69.00% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 23.53% and 7.48% respectively.

Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) have cut their stake in Canara Bank by 68 basis points to 10.82 percent at the end of September 2014 from 11.5 percent as on June 30, 2014. However, domestic institutional investors (DIIs) have raised their shareholding in the bank by 12 basis points to 12.71 percent at the end of Q2FY15 from 12.59 percent as on June 30, 2014.

Meanwhile, Non Institutions were holding 7.47 percent stake in the bank at the end of September 2014, up 56 basis points from 6.91 percent as on June 30, 2014, while corporate bodies were holding 1.45 percent stake at the end of September 2014, up 09 basis points from 1.36 percent as on June 30, 2014. Further, promoters’ shareholding was unchanged at 69 percent at the end of September 2014.
