Among public and private sector companies, Maharatna engineering and manufacturing enterprise, Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) has been conferred the ‘ICAI National Award for Excellence in Cost Management 2013’. BHEL has been awarded the recognition for the ninth successive year, having earlier won the awards uninterruptedly from 2005 onwards. An independent jury unanimously selected BHEL for the First Award in the PSU Manufacturing Organisation Large category, for the Award for 2013.
Instituted in the year 2003, by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICAI), the awards are presented annually to corporate entities in their journey towards excellence in cost management and cost management practices.
BHEL is engaged in the design, engineering, manufacture, construction, testing, commissioning and servicing of a wide range of products, systems and services for the core sector companies in the field of power, transmission, transportation, renewable energy, oil and natural gas and defence.
