Ashok Leyland reports 44% rise in November sales

Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 44% in sales in November 2014 to 7,732 units as against 5,375 units sold in the same period of last year. The company has experienced a rise of 92% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 5,204 units in November.

The company’s large commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a fall of 5% to 2,528 units in October. Sales for April-October 2014 went up 8% over previous year period to 61,453 units.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
