ITC trades in pink of its health for yet another session

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 397.10, up by 5.65 points or 1.44 % from its previous closing of Rs. 391.45 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 394.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 399.50 and Rs. 392.10 respectively. So far 370558 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 392.10 on 05-Dec-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 308.90 on 06-Dec-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 392.10 and Rs. 357.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 316674.08 crore.

The Institutions holding in the company stood at 55.10 % while Non-Institutions held 44.64% of company’s stake.

The shares of cigarette companies such as ITC and Godfrey Phillips ended with more than 5 per cent gains following reports that the government proposal to ban sale of loose cigarettes is likely to be put on hold.

ITC is reportedly planning to set up a food processing park in Telangana. In this regard, the company has submitted proposal to the state government.  Meanwhile, the state government has cleared a proposal by the hotel division of the multi-business conglomerate for setting up a five-star hotel in Madhapur area, the IT hub of the state capital.

ITC, a diversified conglomerate has business interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
