Yes Bank jumps on reporting 33% rise in Q3 net profit

Yes Bank is currently trading at Rs. 314.50, up by 7.90 points or 2.58% from its previous closing of Rs. 306.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 308.70 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 318.55 and Rs. 298.50 respectively. So far 821648 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 341.30 on 15-Apr-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 230.55 on 02-Jan-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 318.55 and Rs. 278.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11061.38 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 26.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 59.90% and 13.89% respectively.

Yes Bank has reported results for its third quarter ended December 31, 2011.

The bank has posted a 32.95% increase in its net profit of Rs.254.09 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs.191.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 47.19% to Rs.1,895.49 crore for quarter under review from Rs.1,287.82 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding year.

The bank’s gross NPA for the December quarter of the current fiscal stood at 0.20%, while the same was at 0.23% for the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. Meanwhile, bank’s Net NPA stood at 0.04% as compared to 0.06% in the same quarter of the previous year.
