Redington gains on reporting 23% jump in its Q3 net profit

Redington (India) is currently trading at Rs 80.70, up by 0.30 points or 0.37% from its previous closing of Rs 80.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 81.85 and has touched a high and low of Rs 84.65 and Rs 80.00 respectively. So far 164581 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 102.00 on 29-Jul-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 65.05 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 84.65 and Rs 75.30 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 3227.39 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 21.09% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 46.22% and 32.69% respectively.

Redington (India) has posted a surge of 13.26% in its net profit after tax of Rs 33.40 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 29.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 16.02% from Rs 2150.51 crore for Q3FY11 to Rs 2495.12 crore in the quarter under review.

On the consolidated basis the group has posted a jump of 28.60% in its net profit after tax to Rs 67.81 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2011 as compared to Rs 52.73 crore in the same quarter last year. Total Income of the company improved by 24.82% to Rs 5738.83 crore for the quarter compared to Rs 4597.65 crore in the quarter, year ago.
