Kesoram Industries is currently trading at Rs. 135.40, up by 20.95 points or 18.30% from its previous closing of Rs. 114.45 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 134.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 137.30 and Rs. 130.00 respectively. So far 861850 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 154.90 on 16-Sep-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.40 on 17-Feb-2014.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 122.50 and Rs. 114.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1489.01 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 48.06 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.06 % and 37.46 % respectively.
In a bid to deleverage its debt burden, Kesoram Industries is reportedly in talks with MRF to sell its main tyre unit out of the two of Birla Tyres. The company has a debt burden of Rs 4425 crore at the end of the September 2014 quarter as per its balance sheet.
Kesoram Industries is engaged in the manufacture of cement, tyres, tubes, rayon, paper, heavy chemicals and spun pipes. KIL is also listed on Societe de la Bourse de Luxembourg stock exchange.
