Manaksia has lifted the suspension and resumed normal operations at aluminum division factory located at Haldia, West Bengal with effect from January 17, 2015. The company had earlier temporarily suspended operations at aluminum division factory due to labour unrest with effect from November 03, 2014.
Further, the Aluminum Division factory at Haldia has been transferred as a going concern to Manaksia Aluminium Company pursuant to the Scheme of Arrangement as sanctioned by Calcutta High Court effective from November 23, 2014.
Manaksia specializes in the manufacture of packaging products (crowns, closures and metal containers), metal products and fast moving consumer goods, among others.
