Ashok Leyland has reported results for the quarter and the year ended March 31, 2011
The company’s net profit for the fourth quarter rose by 33.94% at Rs 298.23 crore as compared to Rs 222.66 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2010. Its total income has increased by 30.30% at Rs 3832.65 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 2941.35 crore in the corresponding previous quarter.
The company has registered a growth of 49% in its net profit for the year ended March 31, 2011 at Rs 631.30 crore as compared to Rs 423.67 crore for the year ended March 31, 2010. Its total income has increased by 52.19% at Rs 11133.04 crore for the year from Rs 7315.16 crore in previous year.
Ashok Leyland has recommended a dividend of Rs 2 per share of the face value of Re 1 each or 200%, and if approved by the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting scheduled to be held on July 19, 2011, the dividend shall be paid commencing from July 20, 2011 and before July 25, 2011.
