Octant Industries zooms on getting nod for power project in Orissa

Octant Industries is currently trading at Rs. 10.00, up by 0.52 points or 5.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 9.48 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 9.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 10.18 and Rs. 9.50 respectively. So far 20886 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 28.90 on 21-Mar-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 5.53 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 10.49 and Rs. 8.16 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 19.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.20% while Non-Institutions held 39.80% stake in the company.

Octant Industries has received clearance from various government authorities such as OPTCL for evacuation of power and permission from Pollution control for establishing the power project in Sambalpur district, Orissa state.

The civil work with regard to the power project are under progress and the plants and machineries orders has been placed with the reputed parties as mentioned earlier. The company plans to commission the project within one year. This will add more values to the existing shareholders of the company.

Octant Industries is engaged in software development, information technology enabled services, contact centre customer services and back office transaction services. Its software development services of the company include system design and architecture, product development life cycle management, database design and integration, business process automation, user interface etc.
