Bank of India declines on reporting 70% fall in Q3 net profit

Bank of India is currently trading at Rs 227.80, down by 13.80 points or 5.71% from its previous closing of Rs 241.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 243.65 and has touched a high and low of Rs 244.75 and Rs 225.10 respectively. So far 1691700 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 356.75 on 26-May-2014 and a 52 week low of Rs 166.00 on 21-Feb-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 260.85 and Rs. 229.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 14598.64 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.70%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.54% and 7.77% respectively.

Bank of India has registered a fall of 70.40% in its net profit at Rs 173.38 crore for third quarter ended December 31, 2014 as compared to Rs 585.82 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the bank has increased by 9.95% at Rs 11947.45 crore for Q3FY15 as compared Rs 10866.29 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased to 4.07% in the October-December quarter as against 2.81% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood at 2.50%.
