ITC rises on emerging highest bidder for Park Hyatt Hotel in Goa

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 397.70, up by 1.85 points or 0.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 395.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 396.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 398.40 and Rs. 393.45 respectively. So far 116916 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 401.90 on 18-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 312.40 on 23-Jun-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 401.90 and Rs. 383.40 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 317261.83 crore.

The institutions and non-institutions held 55.58% and 44.17% stake in the company, respectively.

ITC has emerged the “highest bidder” for the Park Hyatt Hotel at Cansaulim in Goa with an offer of Rs 515.44 crore. The bid value is equivalent to the reserve price set by the lender, IFCI. The auction was initiated under the SARFAESI Act, 2002.

ITC has already remitted 25 per cent (around Rs 129 crore) of the bid value. The residual 75 per cent will be paid within 15 days.

ITC, a diversified conglomerate has business interests in cigarettes, hotels, paperboards and specialty papers, packaging, agri-business, packaged foods and confectionery, information technology, branded apparel, personal care, stationery, safety matches and other FMCG products.
