Jaiprakash Associates has completed the transaction of sale of its 1.5 MTPA Cement Grinding Unit located at Panipat in Haryana to Shree Cement on April 27, 2015 at a consideration of Rs 358.22 crore. The company had entered into a Business Transaction Agreement (BTA) with Shree Cement for the same on September 19, 2014.
Jaypee Group is the country’s third largest cement maker. Swiss major Holcim owns majority stake in both ACC and Ambuja Cement with a combined capacity of around 52 mtpa in India.
