Ashok Leyland reports 43% rise in April sales

Ashok Leyland, the commercial vehicle manufacturer, has reported an increase of 43% in sales in April 2015 to 8,435 units as against 5,897 units sold in the same period of last year. The company has experienced a rise of 45% in its medium and heavy commercial vehicle (M&HCV) products segment to 6,549 units in April. The company’s light commercial vehicle (LCV) witnessed a rise of 37% to 1,886 units in April 2015.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
