After the success of the Her Ghar product which provided a concession in interest rates specifically for women Home Loan borrowers, State Bank of India (SBI) has launched the Her Ghar Her Car loyalty scheme.
Under this, Her Ghar borrowers can go in for a Her Car loan at reduced rates of 10% per annum. Car Loans to non Her Ghar borrowers would continue to be at 10.25% per annum. Her Ghar Her Car is an addition to products available with SBI wherein concession in rates have been introduced with the objective of reaching out to women in the country and empowering them to take decisions that can change the course of their family and society at large.
The bank posted a rise of 23.06% in its net profit at Rs 3742.02 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 3040.74 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the bank increased by 14.54% at Rs 48616.41 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 42443.27 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014.
