Force Motors surges on inaugurating new engine manufacturing facility near Chennai

Force Motors is currently trading at Rs. 1669.95, up by 76.60 points or 4.81% from its previous closing of Rs. 1593.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1607.35 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1708.80 and Rs. 1601.00 respectively. So far 179745 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1791.00 on 15-Apr-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 525.20 on 25-Jul-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1708.80 and Rs. 1570.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 2188.58 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.12% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 7.03 % and 32.85 % respectively.

Force Motors has inaugurated its new engine manufacturing and testing facility near Chennai. The facility will build and test engines and transmission for BMW cars and SUVs made in India. The plant, located in Changalpattu taluka, can produce upto 20,000 premium engines every year. The IT system of the facility is integrated with the global production network of BMW.

The company has been assembling Mercedes Benz engines and axles for all its C, E, S and M class cars and SUVs built in India at its Urse plant
