Union Bank of India unveils three new cards for customers

Union Bank of India (UBI), one of the largest public sector banks of India, has unveiled three cards in partnership with Visa targeting young students, high net-worth individuals and small business men. The three cards -- Business Debit Card, Usecure Credit Card and Signature Credit Card -- are part of the bank's digital initiatives. For small businessmen, the bank will offer business debit card, for students with balance of Rs 25,000 it will offer USecure credit card and signature credit card aimed at high net worth individuals.  The bank has so far this year launched 20 IT enabled services and has plans to add 11 more e-initiatives by March-end.

The bank’s net profit slipped by 23.34% at Rs 443.77 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2015 as compared to Rs 578.91 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2014. Its total Income grew by 11.11% to Rs 9383.71 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 8444.95 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
