Ashok Leyland rises on winning contract for 3600 vehicles worth $200 million

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 99.10, up by 1.60 points or 1.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 97.50 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 98.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 99.40 and Rs. 98.30 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 99.50 on 18-Aug-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 43.20 on 17-Dec-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 99.40 and Rs. 93.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 28,174.18 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.82% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 31.69% and 17.11% respectively.

Ashok Leyland, flagship of the Hinduja Group, has signed a contract with the government of Cote D'Ivoire for 3600 vehicles worth $200 million. This contract is being funded by EXIM Bank of India and is pending final clearance from respective governments. The vehicles, which include trucks and buses, will be delivered over the next 12 months.
