Ashok Leyland rises on resuming operations at its Ennore manufacturing plant near Chennai

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs. 90.80, up by 0.70 points or 0.78% from its previous closing of Rs. 90.10 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 90.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 90.95 and Rs. 90.10 respectively. So far 114828 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 99.65 on 30-Nov-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 43.20 on 17-Dec-2014.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 93.95 and Rs. 89.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 25641.35 crore.

Ashok Leyland has resumed regular operations at its Ennore manufacturing plant near Chennai after production activity was halted at the facility due to heavy rains. The company has started its regular operations from December 07, 2015. The company will be able to assess the insurance losses in due course, upon assessment done by the insurance company.

Ashok Leyland, the Hinduja Group flagship company in India, is engaged in the manufacturing of commercial vehicles and related components. The company’s products include buses, trucks, engines, defense and special vehicles.
