Central Bank of India declines on reporting net loss of Rs 836.62 crore in Q3

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 54.95, down by 6.90 points or 11.16% from its previous closing of Rs. 61.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 57.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 57.80 and Rs. 53.75 respectively. So far 217488 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 121.00 on 24-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 59.10 on 04-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 62.90 and Rs. 59.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9161.96 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.46 % while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.68 % and 4.86 % respectively.

Central Bank of India has reported a net loss of Rs 836.62 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2015 as compared to net profit of Rs 137.65 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. The bank’s total income has decreased by 1.72% to Rs 6911.62 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 7032.70 crore for the corresponding quarter of the previous year.

Gross non-performing assets (NPAs) increased to 8.95% in the October- December quarter as against 6.20% in the same quarter previous year, while net NPAs stood at 5.30%.
