ITC declines as FM proposes to raise excise duty on most tobacco products by 10-15%

Finance Minister (FM) Arun Jaitley has proposed to raise excise duty on most tobacco products by 10-15%

ITC is currently trading at Rs. 288.30, down by 2.70 points or 0.93% from its previous closing of Rs. 291.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 292.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 293.35 and Rs. 278.00 respectively. So far 3444412 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 409.70 on 28-Feb-2015 and a 52 week low of Rs. 283.50 on 25-Feb-2016.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 304.00 and Rs. 278.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 232296.09 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 55.93% and 44.06% stake in the company, respectively.
