With reference to the earlier letter dated March 10, 2016, Gokak Textiles has now informed about the continued deterioration of the situation caused by the illegal flash strike by a section of workmen since March 09, 2016 and the threat being made of physical harm to the workmen witting to work, the supervisory and managerial staff. Therefore, in the interest of safety of the workmen, equipments, raw material and other property of the Company, the Company in response to the illegal strike has declared a lock-out on March 17, 2016 from 6.00 A.M. at its Gokak Mills, manufacturing plant of the Company at Gokak Falls, Dist Selgaum, Karnataka Slate.
